J.W. Court & Son, North Barrack Road, Deal
James W. Court (b. 1844) originally owned premises in Whitstable, where
he was in partnership with William Pearson Coleman. When that partnership was dissolved in 1879,
he moved to Walmer and went into business with his
son, manufacturing mineral waters until the 1930s. The company was then sold to Lyles. The star shown on his bottles may be
connected to the Masons (some of his glass bottles have Masonic symbols on
them).
